Demys Mercado (Serrano)

Demys Mercado

I came to Maloney High School as a bilingual student after moving from Puerto Rico, with very limited english. I always knew I wanted to further my education, despite the challenges ahead of me. The education I received at Maloney, the guidance, the tools and the support allowed me to strive for my goals, and gave me that motivation and confidence to continue to work hard and reach my goals. I had great teachers, especially one in particular, Ms. Garcia who always took her time to be an amazing teacher and biggest supporter of me. I now have over 15 years of work experience in the social services field and currently working in my dream job as a Juvenile Probation Officer. Querer es poder!!!
