Taught me to use my creativity! As a health sciences educator I teach my students about all types of patients, conditions, injuries and illnesses. Even though students go out into clinical environments, they do not always see everything prior to graduating and entering the professional field on their own. Props & Paints, Chorus and Cantabiles taught me how to present different patients through role play- speed up speech, tone, vibrato to display emotion, etc. I use these experiences to create mock scenarios and experiences for my students and am not afraid of being dramatic!
