Meriden Public Schools

Care of School Property

The Meriden Public Schools believes that the school environment, both internal and external, influences the learning process. Each of its facilities, therefore, is constantly maintained by individual custodial staffs with the assistance of a system-wide maintenance department. Students are also encouraged to do their best to safeguard and improve their schools and classrooms. There is a continuous display of their classroom work, evidence of academic and athletic achievements, and special activities.

In accordance with Board policies, pupils are held responsible for all school property which has been assigned to them. Students who damage books, equipment or other school property shall reimburse the Meriden Public Schools for all damages. Residents are also encouraged to contact the Meriden Police Department should they observe questionable activities during hours when school is not in session.
