Author Visits
Meriden Public Schools partnered with RJ Julia Booksellers in 2001 to bring a wide range of authors to present to students in our district. This collaboration has been extremely rewarding to our students, staff, families and community as these authors have covered a wide range of interesting topics and subject matters.
We’ve had over 40 authors present in our schools to students of all grade levels; elementary, middle and young adult presentations. Our students have met world renowned poets, illustrators, chefs, movie producers, TV actors and movie stars, sportscasters, and even a Supreme Court Justice.
These presentations have provided our students with insight and experiences that will help guide them to opportunities that await them as they navigate through our Meriden Public Schools and beyond. We are excited about the many authors that have presented and we look forward to our next author presentation.
