Ray Ouellet was elected to the Meriden Board of Education in November of 2019.

Ray is a lifelong resident of Meriden. He has been a police officer in Meriden for 23 years. 
Seven of those years he served as a school resource officer. Ray has two children, Cassandra
and Ryan; a son-in-law who is a state trooper in Connecticut; and grandson, Austin.  
Ray is an avid race fan. He rode BMX for years. Ray’s father was an original founder of the
Meriden BMX track. Ray was involved for many years in Soap Box Derby here in Meriden. He
is also a member of the Meriden Motorcycle Club. Ray helps out with Beat the Street, as well
as with the Meriden Police Explorers. Ray believes all children deserve the chance at a great
education.
