The Personnel Office is primarily responsible for the coordination and recruitment of both certified and classified staff for the Meriden Public Schools. This office maintains the personnel records for all employees of the Meriden Public Schools. In addition, the Personnel Office prepares vacancy notices and screens employee applications in its effort to ensure the district’s standard of excellence in meeting its staffing needs. The Personnel Office works in conjunction with the Capitol Region Education Council (CREC) and the Area Cooperative Educational Services (ACES) regional educational service centers in an effort to attract qualified certified staff. The State Department of Education is also consulted on a regular basis to verify prospective employee certification and maintain current employee certification status.
